In December 2006, Undersecreteriat of Defense was given the authorization for the procurement of 30 Block 50+ F-16 Aircraft from Lockheed Martin through Foreign Military Sales Credit.
Within the content of this procurement, TAI signed the contract with Lockheed Martin. Under this contract TAI is responsible for the assembly, flight operations and delivery of 30 F-16 at TAI facilities.
The assembly activities of the F-16s will be started at the beginning of 2010. The program is targeted to be completed by delivering 30 F-16 at the end of the year 2012.
