TAI performs Part Manufacturing and Assembly Operations of aircraft components for the world' s leading aviation companies as well as its own-design fixed and rotary wing air platforms and UAV's by using modern production methods and tools. In the last years, usage of automated production methods has a significant increase in the production lines for a robust process to help manufacture high quality components. In addition to the aircraft components' design and production, TAI also performs design and production of master tools and jigs to be used during manufacturing activities.
Automatic riveting machines provide positioning with numerical controlled axis movements. ARM performs drilling hole, sealant application and rivet installation in one movement time, also shorten the duration of the process in labor intensive assembly processes. İt gives possibility to measure quality parameters fast and reliable such as countersink diameter control and control of the rivet head height.
Advanced Drilling Units are numeric controlled 7 axis gantry style drilling machines designed to provide maximum acceleration-deceleration at the highest feed rates. A unique pressure foot design and volumetric compensation property provide a highly efficient, highly accurate solution for drilling and countersinking of stacks of different materials such as aluminum, composite and titanium.
Advanced Drilling Units check the position of the holes according to the coordinate system, utilize the Vision Systems and the Renishaw Touch Probe to inspect the hole and countersink sizes, provide Machine Quality/Performance data, high quality products and less labor costs while improving the speed of production, eliminate the ergonomic problems and the need of extra production/inspection tools.
Seven-axis FANUC ex-proof paint robot is used for primer and top coat applications. Paint robot can perform water based and solvent based paint applications. In robotic paint applications, paint defects are much reduced compared to manual applications and serious work power gains are achieved.
6 axes robotic drilling unit can move on a rail. It can drill the hole and the countersink on the aircraft (stacks CFRP, Metal, CFRP-Metal) with high precision and with a single operation by means of the commands taken from the connected control unit.
Automatic assembly machine uses Pc-controlled laser tracker and holders which providing three axis motion, to provide barrel body form via laser controlled axis movements according to the design data of components.
ADU (Advanced Drilling Unit) is a new generation semi-automatic drilling tool. It includes the flexibility of manual drilling tools and the recurrence of robotic drilling units simultaneously. ADU is especially used to drill composite/metal stacks in one step.
Robotic Coating System applies special chemicals to different regions at different thickness using a 9 axis numeric control system coating robot. Robotic coating system provides greater speed and productivity, reduced waste material from more consistent paint application and improved safety from hazardous painting work environments.
DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING OF THE ASSEMBLY JIGS

ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEM INSTALLATIONS AND TESTS
Electric and electronic systems such as harnesses, coax cables, fiber optic cables, panels, switches, electronic equipment are installed.
Harness leakage and continuity tests are performed via the 40000 test point capacity computer controlled test equipment.
Coax cables low frequency, high frequency, insertion loss and continuity tests are performed between 350kHz and 40gHz via network analyzer.
Fiber optic cables decibel loss and continuity tests are performed via fiber optic test equipment.
HYDRAULIC, FUEL AND AIR CONDITION LINE INSTALLATIONS AND TESTS
Hydraulic lines, fuel lines, air condition lines and the equipments such as pump, valve, reservoir etc. are installed.
Leakage and proof tests of hydraulic tubes are performed by using hydraulic oil via pressurizing 10000psi special test equipment (STE) according to the related line test requirements.
Leakage and proof tests of fuel and air condition tubes are performed by using nitrogen or shop air via pressurizing 60psi and 200psi low and high air pressure capacity STE according to the related line test requirements.
Leakage and proof tests of fuel tanks are performed by using shop air via pressurizing 15psi capacity STE according to the related line test requirements.
Cold work applications are conducted for holes made of aluminum, steel and titanium materials with sizes up to 15 cm.
Aluminum and titanium sheet parts can be dimpled up to 1 cm diameter by hot or cold dimpling method. Dimpling operation can be performed by using both portable and stationary dimpling machines.
Rain test on integrated helicopter and aircraft fuselages can be performed at any specified water flow rate and pressure.
VISUAL PASTE APPLICATIONS
Sealant application provides corrosion inhibition with prevention of corrosive and harmful liquids (İ.e Fuel, Waste Water, condensation liquids) leakage to different sides of components for all projects. Aerodynamic smoothness prevention is enabled. To provide mixed sealant chemicals for assembly line's needs.
